East Zone, rapidly growing market for Ford India
Ford India has inaugurated its 4th parts distribution centre in Kolkata, after Chennai, Mumbai and Delhi. It’s regional parts warehouses enhance Fordâ€™s pan India reach for quicker spare parts distribution commitment to improve service efficiency.
Nigel Harris, President, Ford India, together with Vinay Piparsania, Executive Director, Marketing, Sales and Service, Ford India, PK Umashankar, Vice President, Ford Customer Service Operations and Michele DeTombeur, Director, Parts Supply & Logistics, Ford Asia Pacific were in attendance at the the inauguration.
The new 3,200 sq.m warehouse improves turnaround time in delivery of parts and accessories to serve 28 East and North Eastern dealerships. The East Zone is a rapidly growing market for Ford India.
PK Umashankar, Vice President, Ford Customer Service Operations stressed that enhanced ownership experience is an intensive and continuous process that warrants the need for better after-sales offerings as Ford grows here. Kolkata’s parts distribution centre places the automaker closer to its dealer network making way for better parts availability, reduced lead time, and improved overall customer experience.
Kolkata parts distribution centre supports Ford’s overall network expansion strategy and commitment to Indian customers. Ford dealerships in the East Zone now benefit from timely parts availability,reduced transit time, lower transit damage and optimal inventory at dealer points.
