Being developed by PT Honda Astra Motors, a subsidiary of Honda, the Brio MPV will enter production at the upcoming Honda new plant in West Java, Indonesia. Expected to debut at Indonesia International Motor Show in September this year, the new Brio MPV might borrow its rear design from Honda C-RV. For India, it will sport a 1.5 liter i-DTEC diesel engine and will also share the same petrol powertrain as seen in both Honda Brio and Honda Amaze.
No details of interior design or expected price have been revealed as on date. Once successfully launched in India the vehicle will find an immediate rival in the form of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, while it will also vie for its fare share of attention in the market along with Toyota Innova and Nissan Evalia.
