Exciting new colours for Yamaha 2014 FZ, FZ-S and Fazer
Japanese two wheeler manufacturers, Yamaha have announced new color options for FZ series of bikes in India. 2014 FZ-S, FZ and Fazer will receive new shades and have been spotted at company dealerships in their new avatar.
Yamaha FZ-16 is being presented in color options of Panther Black, Ambush Blue and Raider Red while FZ-S gets Preying Red, Hawk-Eye Gold and Pouncing Black. All these three bikes from Yamaha will be powered by a 153cc, 4 stroke, single cylinder 2 valve engine mated to a 5 speed gearbox. The engine is capable of peak power of 14 ps at 7500 rpm and peak torque of 13.6 Nm at 6000 rpm.
Yamaha is also working on a FZ-S facelift which should be launched by end of 2014. The bike has been spotted on test where it was noted to sport a new air intake below its fuel tank, a new tail light design and rear mud guards. These modifications are not purely cosmetic and mechanical updates are also expected.
Yamaha FZ was showcased in concept format at the 2014 Auto Expo earlier this year and has also been spotted on test on several occasions. The new FZ from Yamaha will compete against Bajaj Pulsar 150, Honda CB Trigger and Suzuki Gixxer with launch later this year.
