F1 Connectivity Innovation Prize 2014 Challenge 01
Tata Communications’ F1 Connectivity Innovation Prize for $50,000 was announced last month. Today, details of the first of 3 challenges have been made available through a platform that gets people involved to solve 3 technology challenges pertaining to Formula 1 racing.
Today’s challenge announced in the build up of this weekend’s 2014 F1 Santander British Grand Prix is to demonstrate new and insightful info to be derived from F1 Managementâ€™s live data feeds. Contenders need to create a visual package for new information to include suspense and excitement to audience experience.
Tata Communicationsâ€™ 1st challenge inspires entrants to creatively apply analytical and IT solutions to betetr entertainment and insight by not only collecting data form, but also by visualising its spplication in any form (TV graphics, additional info data page currently presented by Formula One Management to F1 teams, media, Paddock Club guests, F1 site and F1 app).
The judging panel comprises of Formula One Managementâ€™s CTO, John Morrison; Mercedes AMG Petronas team driver Lewis Hamilton; Paddy Lowe; Tata Communicationsâ€™ Managing Director of F1 Business, Mehul Kapadia; and former F1 driver and Sky Sports F1 expert commentator, Martin Brundle.
