Faurecia has seen strong growth during the year 2012. Sales increased considerable especially in markets of North America and Asia wherein the company reported 41% and 24% increased sales respectively. Faurecia’s 2012 consolidated sales totaled €17,364.5 million, as compared to €16,190.2 million in 2011, an increase of 7.3% while during the second half of 2012 total sales saw a 7.0% increase.

Where the company’s product sales were concerned these sales totaled €13.30 billion as compared to €12.39 billion experienced in the same period a year earlier. This resulted in a 7.3% increase. The company also acquired a Saline Plant in the US from Ford which represented €281 million in group sales. New contracts were accounted for 2012. These contracts were to the tune of €17.8 billion which also included 53% outside Europe. Product sales also increased outside Europe to the tune of 30%.

North America accounted for 27% of product sales while Asia accounted for 10% followed by South America with 5% increase. Customer base too expanded with Germany representing 39% of sales, North America at 28% while France was at 21% and Asia at 7%. Faurecia India supplies to Ford, Fiat, GM, Maruti-Suzuki, Hyundai, Renault-Nissan, Toyota, Tata, and Volkswagen. When it comes to commercial vehicles here, there focus is on Indian truck emissions control market alongwith global partner Cummins.
