Fiat 600 is a vintage small car which fitted the lifestyle in mid-20th century, between 1955 and 1969. It was designed by Dante Giacosa, a tribute to whom this Fiat 600 anniversary concept rendering pays.
David Obendorfer has drawn multiple renderings of what could possibly be the Punto replacement. This modern interpretation of Fiat 600 bears essential styling parameters of the original 600 model, like the rump, and indicators mounted on top of front fenders, and some design cues from latest Fiat 500.
The 5-door 600 serves as an example as to what Fiat could unveil as Punto successor, as the rendering is purely imaginary and not some sort of inside scoop. Such a design / car is highly expected to sit in place of Punto because there are reports suggesting a 5-door derivative of Fiat 500 family would make it to premium hatchback segment.
Original Fiat 600 measured just over 3.2 meters long, whereas Obendorfer’s design concept is a five door model stretching the tape slightly over 4 meters.
Obendorfer has also rendered high performance Abarth version of Fiat 600, which is inspired by sports cars of early 50?s from the garage of said tuning firm.
