2014 Fiat Avventura is the Italian automakers offering into the new compact crossover category which has been gaining importance in the auto industry over the past few years. Fiat Avventura could come in at an expected price between INR 7-8 lakhs and will live upto its name which means ‘Adventure’ in Italian.
Boasting of sporty exteriors and fashionable interiors, Fiat Avventura will receive distinctive body cladding while retaining overall shape as seen on the Punto hatchback. Its front fascia receives sleek headlights, a one piece mesh grille and large air intakes.
Interiors of Fiat Avventura are spacious offering occupants plenty of leg and head room. Seats are done up in dual tone of brown leather and black and white lined clothing with ‘Avventura’ logos on the back rest. The brown leather is also seen on the inside door handles, giving the interior a premium feel.
Dashboard too comes in a dual finish, giving a premium look. Instrument panel, steering wheel, music system and other buttons remains same as that on the new Punto Evo. There is one special addition though. On the centre console, at the top, Fiat has added clinometers and compass, which add to the off-roading value of the car. Other features include climate control, 205 mm ground clearance (10mm more than Punto Evo) and 2-DIN sound system.
Fiat Avventura will be powered by a 1.4 PDA petrol engine capable of 89.5 PS power and 115 Nm torque and a 1.3 liter Multijet diesel engine capable of 92.72 PS power and 209 Nm torque. Both engines are the same which are already seen on the Punto Evo top end variants of petrol and diesel engine options, mated to 5 speed manual gearbox. More details and precise pricing will be announced closer to launch dates. Price is going to be higher than the Punto Evo.
