Fiat India recently invited car owners to their factory at Ranjangaon near Pune. Customers were given a chance to interact with Fiat management officials for the first time on such a large scale, as there over over 600 Fiat car owners present. Apart from answering their customers’ questions, Fiat officials also revealed what the company has in store for their customers and fans in India.
To start with, the company will be adding 80 exclusive company owned dealerships across the country by March 2013. Fiat India currently has 174 Tata Fiat outlets in India, but exclusive dealerships is the need of the hour, and that is exactly what they have in mind.
Fiat had formed a joint venture with Tata Motors in 2008 to manufacture, sell and service their range of vehicles. However, this partnership fell through earlier this year and the company is now on a re-structuring drive to revive its brand in India.
Fiat India is also keen to concentrate more on distribution and customer satisfaction while they will be introducing a range of vehicles in 2013 which will include Jeep Wrangler and Grand Cherokee through a CBU route. B Segment SUVs are planned for 2015 while C Segment SUVs will make their way into the country in 2016 both with petrol and diesel engine options. 9 new models from Fiat, Abarth and Jeep are expected while Fiat is keen to offer financial services in the country by April 2013.
