FIAT India MIDC Mercurio Pallia Logistics built stockyard for 2000 cars. The New installed facility is located close to Fiat’s manufacturing plant in Ranjangaon, MIDC.
Fiat inaugurated a state of the art stock yard facility at the Ranjangaon MIDC industrial area. The new facility has been designed by logistics partner Mercurio Pallia and is spread over 12 acres of land. New installed facility is located close to Fiat’s manufacturing plant and has a capacity to store 2000 units at any given point of time.
This facility has been built keeping in mind security, safety and environmental guidelines pertaining to Fiat. It boasts of a cement paved floor and separate loading area to facilitate systematic storage and offloading of these vehicles. Fiat’s modern, high quality stockyard facility has a state of the art PDI booth to be able to conduct quality checks and required maintenance. It also has an effective storm drainage system and possesses an effluent treatment plant so as to avoid contaminating soil resources.
Installation of the new facility is in close accordance with Fiat’s projected expansion process for India. Initially this stock yard will cater to the Punto and Linea models after which it will store vehicles from Chrysler and Fiat in the future.
