Indonesian Fiat Punto is actually the European version which debuted in 2012; same exterior styling and interior design. Apparently interiors match with one we have seen in Indian 2014 Linea, upcoming Punto EVO and Avventura. But Indonesian spec gets longer features list.
To begin with, Fiat Punto gets automatic start/stop system, cruise control, Hill Start Assist, adaptive cornering lights, dark finish headlamps, Daytime Running Lights (DRL), Blue&Me In Car Entertainment system, trip computer, ambient lighting, Antilock Braking System with Electronic Brake-force Distribution, Electronic Stability Program, 7 Airbags and electrically adjustable lumbar support for driver seat. Punto Easy variant gets 15 inch alloy wheels, while Punto Lounge trim comes with 16 inch sets.
Unlike Indian spec, Fiat Punto in Indonesia gets only one power plant, 1.4 litre petrol engine producing 88.7 bhp max. power and 115 Nm peak torque. Transmission system is a 5 speed Dualogic AMT (Automated Manual Transmission), whereas same engine in India gets mated to regular 5 speed transmission only. Combined mileage is 14 kmpl.
