Fiat Punto Evo Pure launched in India – Price starts from INR 5.13 lakh

After launching the Punto Pure last year, Fiat India today launched the Punto Evo Pure. Fiat Punto Evo Pure is being presented in six shades, namely – Exotica Red, Bossonova White, Hip Hop Black, Minimal Grey, Bronzo Tan and Magnesio Grey. It is only offered with a 1.2 liter petrol engine option and is priced from IRN 5.13 lakh, ex-showroom.

Basically, the new Punto Evo Pure Edition is the new base variant in the Punto Evo range. Earlier, the Punto Evo range was starting from a price of INR 5.71 lakh, now it starts from INR 5.13 lakh, thanks to the launch of Punto Evo Pure today.

Speaking about the Punto Evo range, it continues to be offered in a choice of petrol and diesel engine options. These are 1.2 and 1.4 liter petrol engines offering 68 PS and 90 PS respectively and a 1.3 liter MultiJet diesel engine offered in 75 PS (Active, Emotion, Dynamic) and 93 PS tunes (only Evo Sport). All engines are mated to five speed manual transmission. Mileage claimed by top end diesel variant (Punto Evo Sport) is 20.5 kmpl. Mileage of 1.2l petrol Punto Evo is 15.8 kmpl, 1.4l Punto Evo is 14.4 kmpl, and that of 1.3l diesel Punto Evo 75 PS is 21.2 kmpl.

Speaking about performance, top speed of 1.2l petrol Punto Evo Pure and Punto Evo variant is 135 kmph, whereas that of others is at 165 kmph. 0-100 kmph is achieved by 1.2l Punto Evo (Pure) petrol in 18.81 seconds, by 1.4l Punto Evo petrol in 15.99 seconds, 1.3l Punto Evo Diesel 75 PS variant in 16.39 seconds and by Punto Evo Sport in 14.33 seconds.

Punto Evo Pure variant gets body coloured bumpers, and black ORVMs with turn indicators. It will also be seen sitting on 14” wheels with 165/80 tyres. It will be devoid of features like automatic door locking system and central locking along with power steering, and tilt steering. On offer is air conditioning.

Punto Evo Dynamic gets Anti Lock Braking System and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution along with adjustable seat height and seat belts. Infotainment on board the Dynamic variant will include an audio system with USB and AUX connectivity.

The Emotion trim will have some additional safety features to include two airbags for both driver and passenger. Climate controls, rear AC vents, rear defogger and rear window wipers and washer will also be seen while the Emotion variant sits on 15” wheels with 195/55 tubeless tyres. Features will include Bluetooth connectivity and steering mounted controls. For the Evo Sport variant, the alloys are 16″ and tyre size is 195/55/R16.
