New Fiat Punto road test spyshot, launch in 2014
Fiat India will launch the Punto facelift in 2014. The vehicle has been spotted actively during road tests in Pune. Now in it’s 4th gen avatar, Fiat Punto updates were made in 2010 and 2012. The partially camouflaged hatch doesn’t look particularly different on the outside.
As far as engine and power is concerned, the same 1.3 liter Multijet diesel engine offering power of 75 bhp and torque of 197 Nm continues to be in the heart of the car. The petrol engined Fiat Punto facelift offerings include a 1.2 litre and 1.4 litre engine generating 68 bhp and 96 Nm and 90 bhp and 115 Nm power and torque respectively. What is visible are 16″ alloy wheels, rear parking sensors, cruise control, auto headlamps, a redesigned front grille and revised bumpers. On the inside is a new instrument cluster, and centre console.
The Punto facelift could make its debut in time for the festive season later this year as Fiat India has laid out its launch outline for the year during which time Abarth 500, Punto, and Avventura will be launched.
