Fiat teases Avventura, says Spice Up Your Urban Life
Fiat is planning three exciting launches this year which include the Punto hatchback, Abarth 500 and Avventura crossover. The former and latter are currently in the final test phase, and will be launched by August this year.
Fiat Avventura crossover was seen at 2014 Auto Expo in a near production-ready stage. The production version will be more or less same as that seen at the Auto Expo, with a redesigned front fascia, innovative headlights and new grille. Viewed with black plastic cladding, the upcoming Avventura will also boast of restyled bumpers, a novel pattern on alloy wheels and roof rails while it will be its HID headlamps that will instantly appeal differentiating Avventura from Punto to which it bears a strong resemblance.
Interiors of Fiat Avventura have been done up in a two tone color scheme of black with orange accents while the car on test was seen in a muted beige tone. With most interiors borrowed from Punto, cockpit section discloses a stylish instrument cluster while central console has a stylish finish. A three spoke steering wheel with audio and call function buttons has also been fitted. Sports seats get an integrated headrest while seating is done up in premium fabric.
Engine specs to be seen on board the soon to be launched Avventura will include sharing of powertrains with Punto. Petrol engines will include 1.2 liter and 1.4 liter engines while a 1.3 liter MultiJet diesel is also to be offered mated to 6 speed manual transmission. Fiat Avventura will come in at an expected price between INR 6-8 lakhs and will compete with the Volkswagen Cross Polo and Toyota Etios Cross.
