¬†Heavy rains in Goa adds to challenges of Force Gurkha RFC India participants
Predator Special Stages of Force Gurkha RFC India 2014 which got off to a flying start on Friday at the International center Goa, Donna Paula has entered its Stage 13-18 held on the outskirts of Costi. Rains, slippery ground and poor visibility made it even more difficult for competitors as they geared up for even more challenges.
Predator Special Stages 13-18 of RCF India challenge saw a number of car breakdowns while service teams had to brave the weather to set things right for the next stage. However, it was with determination and fortitude that the teams sped on completing 18 stages out of 30.
It was experienced Malaysian driver Mervyn Lim along with his co-driver Hamizan Bin Abdul Hamid, that managed to stay well in the lead over the rest of the participants at the end of 12 Special Stages (SS). He was in his factory modified Force Gurkha as he stayed in the lead with a total of 955 points just ahead of Tang Eng Joo with co driver Tan Choon Hong, also driving in a Gurkha with total points of 930.¬†Gursahib Singh along with Tajinder Pal Singh from Chandigarh‚Äôs Team Gerrari Offroaders was top Indian in third position. He drove a Maruti Gypsy and garnered a total of 867 points.
All contestants have to compete in 30 Special Stages which have been divided into four sections to include Prologue, Predator, Terminator and Twilight.
Participants as per their classification at Force Gurkha Rainforest Challenge India 2014
