Force Gurkha SUV launch price INR 6.25 lakhs

Unlike their Force One SUV launch, which saw the presence of Amitabh Bachchan, the launch of Gurkha SUV was comparatively subdued. Force Gurkha was launched at their stand at the ongoing International Bus and Utility Vehicle Show. If you are in Greater Noida, you can witness the new Force SUV at stall A-102 in Hall No 30.

Force Motors calls their new SUV Gurkha as a EOV – Extreme Offroader Vehicle, they have even tagged it as a 4x4x4. Powered by a 2.6L diesel engine derived from Mercedes Benz, the Force Gurkha SUV’s peak power and torque figures stand at 80 PS and 230 Nm. Power transmission is taken care by a 5 speed manual gearbox, while the top speed and 0-100 kmph acceleration figures are yet to be revealed. Force Motors will offer the Gurkha SUV in three trims – 4×2 soft top (INR 6.25 lakhs), 4×4 soft top (INR 8.35 lakhs), and 4×4 hard top (INR 8.5 lakhs). All prices are ex-showroom New Delhi.

As the engine is BSIII compliant, major Indian cities will not see the Force Gurkha, until the company launches a BSIV compliant engine. Images here are credit to IAB.
