Force Motors Gurkha 4X4 SUV launch on 15th Feb 2013

The previously launched model of Force Gurkha, did not see much demand, probably due to lack of sales and service network of Force Motors. Older Gurkha variant did not attract buyers cause the availability of better options in the same price range, like the Scorpio, and now the Renault Duster. This made the company withdraw the model from the market.

Gurkha is back again and this time round Force Motors has concentrated on both external style and internal updates. New headlights, alloy wheels and revised interiors are predicted. The engine is a 2.6 liter diesel engine producing 76 PS power and 185 Nm torque. The engine is mated to a five speed manual transmission. Another added feature is that this new engine will be BSIV compliant which permits it for sale in metros. Pricing is expected in the INR 6 to 8 Lakh category as it competes with other SUVs in its class.
