Ford launches 24 hour time lapse video for 111 anniversary
Ford Motor Company celebrates 111th anniversary, released a hyper time lapse video showing 24 hour life in the world of Ford, in just 2 and a half minutes! About 4,000 images shot in and around Ford’s facilities around the globe, put together with Indie-Rock music.
Founded on 16th June 1903, the Detroit automaker sells passenger and commercial vehicles with Ford badge and most luxury cars under Lincoln brand. Ford houses 183,000 employees through about 90 plants and facilities in six continents.
This year marks another important one for Ford, 50th anniversary of Mustang. Celebrating which the company inaugurated a new facility in Sri Lanka and announced the introduction plan of Mustang in the country. Ford launched new Fiesta Facelift in India yesterday, kindling rivalry in the segment through competitive pricing and new features, especially Ford SYNC and AppLink.
Ford unveiled special editions of Fiesta Zetec S for Europe in contrasting red and black skin. Recently, Ford Figo sedan dubbed Ka+ was revealed in Brazil, soon after uncovering the Ka hatchback version there.
US carmaker showcased new Fusion Lightweight Concept sedan, that weighs 900 pounds (about 453 kgs) lighter than standard Fusion model. Achieved through extensive use of carbon fibre reinforced plastic, high tensile steel, aluminium and magnesium, wherever possible, the concept hosts a 1.0 liter 3 cylinder EcoBoost engine.
The Blue Oval in partnership with Samsung, has developed dual battery system suitable for hybrid as well as non-electric vehicles. This is lighter than conventional lead-acid battery pack used in automobiles and helps save more fuel.
