Ford Motor Company is ready to bring out cloud based technology to their Evo car which will be showcased at the 18th World Congress in Intelligent Transport Systems. Ford will exhibit how it will help you if your car is connected to the internet. Intelligent report system would detect the need to change over as per conditions so as to reduce emission.

Working along with Windows, Ford Motors predicts that this will be the future of automobiles. Cars connected to the internet and could automatically retrieve and store data. Get the best possible route, check for traffic jams, whether conditions, adapt according to the road conditions, if the road is wet, then the traction control is activated automatically, if the road is bumpy then the suspensions are stiffened, etc etc.

Ford is also working on driver’s habits which would make them use such vehicles with ease. This features would be optional and would be upto customer’s good judgment whether to avail of these features or not. Obviously this technology will reduce road accidents and reduce the risk of travelling by car. Mark Schrimer, Global Product Communications Manager, Ford Motors, said, “We’re working with some German engineers. The car could monitor a driver’s heartbeat and see if he is stressed, and whether it’s a heart attack.”

The entire control of your car will be at your fingertips, on your smartphone. Mr Jim Buczkowski, Electronics system Research and Innovation, Director, Ford Motors, said, “The signs continue to say that your phone is going to be the center of your connectivity.”
