Ford EcoSport bookings on hold as company India sales withstand with 7% increase
Despite severe economic constraints in the country and falling auto sales since the past 9 months, Ford India has reported a 6.88% increase in August sales.
Ford India combined sales in August reached 11,065 units – up 7%.Domestic sales increased 2.14% in August with 8,008 units sold as compared to 7,840 units sold in August 2012. Exports during the month totaled 3,057 units as against 2,512 units in August 2012, an increase of nearly 21.69%. Besides rejoicing at second best monthly sales in the year, Ford India also opened two new dealerships, one in Solan and the other in Kochi thus bringing both world class sales and services closer to customers in the country.
Ford India has also opened its first Quick Lane Service Center in Surat showcasing the company’s endeavor to cater to customer’s demands in a quick and efficient manner. This service includes ‘No Appointment Necessary’ and ‘While You Wait’ services with each Quick Lane service center outfitted to deal with all contingencies of maintenance and minor repairs on an efficient but war footing.
