Ford EcoSport launch is not on 4th March, its Figo Celebration Edition

Ford India has revealed that it is not the EcoSport that will be launched on 4th March 2013, but a new special edition of Figo hatchback, which completes 3 years.

Just like everybody else, we too were surprised when the EcoSport launch on 4th March report surfaced a few hours ago on the internet. The air is now cleared by Ford India, who have replied to our query stating that its not the EcoSport that will be launched on 4th March, but a special edition of Figo.

Ford is celebrating the 3rd anniversary of Figo by launching a new Celebration edition on the 4th March 2013. Ford India says the celebration edition Ford Figo will feature some cosmetic upgrades, details of which will be revealed on the launch day. Under the hood, Figo celebration edition will feature the same petrol 1.2L and diesel 1.4L mill. New Ford Figo was launched in India back in Oct 2012, with a starting price of INR 3.85 lakhs.
