Maruti Suzuki India has not only launched a new car in the market, but has also created a panic situation for rivals. The first victim of this is Ford EcoSport, the base diesel variant of whose was priced at INR 8.41 lakh until yesterday, has been priced from INR 7.28 lakh from today. This is a massive INR 1.13 lakh reduction in Ford EcoSport price!
Similarly, price of petrol base variant which was priced from INR 7.22 lakh, is now priced from INR 6.68 lakh, which is a reduction of INR 54,000. Below is the variant-wise new price list of Ford EcoSport.

Launched back in 2013, Ford EcoSport is the best-selling car from Ford in India. Also the first ever sub 4 meter ‘new’ SUV which went on sale in India, FOrd EcoSport is manufactured at Ford India plant in Chennai.
Up until now, there were hardly any cars in India which were competing with Ford EcoSport in terms of features, design, performance, etc. Last year Mahindra did launch TUV300, but that hardly had any effect on the sales of Ford EcoSport.
