Ford EcoSport’s Sync Applink via Spotify explained (Video)
Ford EcoSport SUV is overflowing with new age technology and this is the reason why it is currently on display at the World Mobile Congress 2013 in Barcelona, Spain. The video here, explains all the features of the Ford EcoSport Sync Applink and how can you control your smartphone apps via voice command and Spotify.
The reason why it is being unveiled at the MWC in Spain this year is due to the fact that EcoSport is packed to the gills with technology. These include Ford SYNC voice activated in-car connectivity system, SYNC Emergency Assistance and Ford SYNC AppLink. SYNC AppLink allows customers to voice control their smartphone apps completely hands free and while concentrating on driving. Ford EcoSport is the first Ford vehicle in Europe to offer this facility and hence is the centre of all attention at WMC.
Speaking about the new EcoSport in Europe, this Euro-spec 2013 Ford EcoSport variant will be positioned below the Ford Kuga, a larger SUV which sits on the Fiesta platform. 2013 Ford EcoSport possesses a 1.0 liter EcoBoost engine offering 125 hp power while its 1.5 liter gasoline engine offers 110 hp along with another 1.5 diesel engine offering 90 hp. Ford EcoSport is scheduled to go on sale later this year in Europe.
An added feature is the Ford SYNC with Emergency Assistance which enables occupants to connect with local emergency service operators in the event of an accident. The system is devised to communicate in local languages in the region, giving all details of exact location of accident with an on board GPS system. Watch the video from CNET below to understand how these features work. More images of the Europe spec EcoSport and details about India launch can be found here.
