After all the commotion last week, due to a 4th March event from Ford India, the day has finally arrived. Ford India will be launching a special Celebration Edition Figo, as a mark to celebrate the model’s third anniversary. The new Figo Celebration Edition will be launched at a special function to be held in New Delhi this afternoon. Ford Figo made its entry in India back in 2010 and has been looked upon as the company’s best seller in India.

Ford Figo did undergo a makeover in 2012 and the Celebration Edition is to be introduced with some new cosmetics updates and features, which will be seen to its exterior and interior design. This special edition will receive a new rear spoiler, skirts and exterior graphics to make it stand apart as a special edition while interiors will be superbly upholstered with new knobs and stalks. The Special Celebration Edition Figo will also receive a new paint job while added features will include new alloy wheels.

No changes are seen where engine lineup is concerned and the Figo will continue with its 1.2 liter 75 bhp petrol engine and 1.4 liter 70 bhp diesel counterpart. Both these engines will be mated to a five speed manual gearbox. The price of this special edition will be higher than the current variant available in the market which was launched last year at a starting price of INR 3.85 lakhs. UPDATE: Figo Celebration Edition launched at INR 4.15 lakhs for petrol and INR 5.16 lakhs for diesel.
