Ford India is focused on bringing products and services that add value thereby reduce cost of ownership. Ford offers Pan-India Roadside Assistance, 90 minute-Quick Service Bays, Mobile Service Vans, Vehicle report card, Quick Lane centre, and Happy Pocket Service.
In July, Ford India sold 15,282 vehicles(domestic wholesales and exports) to report 24% sales increase over 12,338 vehicles sold in July 2013. Exports stood at 7,690 vehicles over 4,471 vehicles in July 2013. Domestic wholesales declined slightly at 7,592 units compared to 7,867 units sold in July 2013.
Vinay Piparsania, executive director of Marketing, Sales and Service, Ford India stressed on customer sentiment revival these past few months. With the festive season approaching, Ford looks forward to increased footfalls. Ford in India has improved supplies to expedite vehicle deliveries, including EcoSport, to meet the expected rise in demand.
Through last month Ford launched its Innovate Mobility Challenge Series in 8 global locations including Mumbai, Delhi and Chennai in India to invite developers to use Ford’s Open XC program to create mobile phone apps that leverage vehicle data and real-time infrastructure information. Challenges are region specific, and winners will be determined by a panel of Ford executives and local experts.
