Ford India exports fuel 36% sales growth in June ’14
Ford India sustained its sales momentum with 11,935 vehicles in domestic wholesales and exports in the month of June, a 36% increase over 8,771 total vehicles sold over the corresponding period last year.
When compared with 1626 cars exported back in June 2013, last month’s export growth for Ford India stood at 187%. Vinay Piparsania, executive director of Marketing, Sales and Service at Ford India commended government decision to extend excise duty concession until 2014 end as it will boost consumer purchasing sentiment moving into the festive season in the next few months.
The decision helps fuel auto sales and reflects government’s recognition of an all important manufacturing sector, which is critical to overall economic growth in India.
