This exciting proposition is the company’s bid to boost sales and have come up with exciting schemes and gifts to entice prospective buyers in India. The sale will be conducted across Ford India’s showrooms in 123 cities in India where showrooms will remain open till midnight while offering a host of gifts such as LED TVs, DVD Players and attractive interest rates besides an assured gift for every car purchased.
Car sales were slow in India with the month of April being the slowest in the past 10 months. High fuel prices, fluctuating interest rates and recent increases in excise duties which has pushed prices of vehicles even higher has resulted in buyers shying away from auto showrooms.
This is one novel way to get these customers back into showrooms by keeping it open till midnight where going by past records, Midnight Sales saw dealers sell over 15 days stock in just 2 days. In the past some dealers have even managed to double or quadruple their normal sales through these Midnight Sales and there is no reason why this cannot happen again.
