Ford India posts all time high sales: EcoSport waiting period at 6 months
American car maker, Ford is experiencing a phase which it had never experienced before in it’s almost 2 decades in India. Ever since the company has launched the EcoSport compact SUV, their sales have only increased. The SUV has been such a success, that even 4 months after it’s launch, the waiting period is at 6-9 months on select models.
In the domestic market, Ford India sold 9,163 vehicles. Though Ford has not revealed how many of these units were contributed by the EcoSport, it is expected to be in the range of 6-6.5k. We will update the figure once we get a reply from Ford regarding the same. As far as exports are concerned, Ford India exports too reached an all time high in Oct 2013.
Ford India exported 5,772 vehicles in October this year, adding ten new export markets including Australia, Nicaragua, Honduras and Guatemala. This is an increase of 71 percent compared to 3,371 units exported last October.
“At Ford India, we are extremely delighted by customers’ acceptance of our reliable, fuel-efficient and fun-to-drive products.
