Ford India sales during October 2012 reach 10,948 units

The month of October 2012 proved to be second best overall sales month during the current year. Ford India cumulative sales reached 10,948 units and the company is looking ahead at the month of November in the hope of seeing increased sales during the festive season. Sales during October 2012 were weighed down by challenging market conditions with sales reaching 7,577 mark as compared to 8,091 units sold in October 2011. During this month, Ford India exports made up for the dip in domestic sales. The company exported 3,371 units during October 2012, an increase of 20% over 2,815 units exported in October 2011.

The new Ford Figo which was unveiled last month is also expected to garner increased sales for the company during the Diwali season. This new Figo is one of the most awarded vehicles in India and comes with a host of additional features which new buyers will find increasingly attractive. New head and tail lamps, a hexagonal front grille, new instrument panel, steering mounted controls, etc are some of the outstanding feature which the new Figo possesses while it is launched at a starting price of Rs.3.81 lakhs.

Ford Quick Lane services have debuted at the company’s Yeshwantpur plant in Bangalore. This offers additional services such as extended operating hours and speeds up service facilities for those Ford owners who are short of time and do not even need to take any prior appointments.
