Ford India has reported robust growth during August with 27.35% increase in sales. The company sold 14,092 units during August 2014 as against 11,065 units in August 2013. Domestic sales dipped 15% from 8,008 units sold in August 2013 to 6,801 units in August 2014 while exports increased 136.5% from 3,057 units exported in August 2013 to 7,291 units exported last month. The company’s EcoSport SUV has reached a 1 lakh milestone and Ford India gears up for higher demand during the upcoming festive season with plans of adding a third shift at their plant in Chennai.
