Ford Motors launches made in India Figo in Nigeria

Ford dealers in Nigeria, Coscharis Motors have launched the new Ford Figo hatchback. Members of Nigerian Motoring Press were permitted to take a test drive in the vehicle at the launch. Various interesting details were revealed of this small hatchback which has already seen resounding success in India and has won over 20 awards in the last two years.

Mr. Raju Sawlani, executive Director of Sales and After Sales Service at Coscharis Motors said that Figo was ready to take Nigerian market by storm in a similar way in which it gripped Indian audiences.

Sawlani said that though Figo was small it was a spacious car, highly fuel efficient and value for money. These are the reasons why it was voted in India as 2011 car of the year, small car of the year and compact car of the year.

Ford Figo is available in two options, a 1.4 liter Duratec engine with manual transmission and 1.6 liter Duratec engine with auto transmission. The automatic version is expected to hit Nigerian autp market later this year.
