When Real Madrid takes on Atletico Madrid on 24th May in the Champions League Final, fans who have been waiting to get their hands on the 2015 Ford Mustang, will have a distraction during the game. The reason, first 500 European spec Ford Mustang’s will be open to order during game-time.
Ford Mustang will be available as a coupe in Race Red and as a convertible with Magnetic Silver colour optins. Engine options will be in the form 2.3 liter EcoBoost four cylinder engine capable of 309PS and 407 Nm torque or 5.0 liter V8 engine offering 426 PS and 529 Nm torque.
Interiors will be done up in black leather upholstery with ventilated front seats, SYNC 2 connectivity, GPS navigation, Park Assist and will sit on 19â€ť alloy wheels. Each of these 500 Ford Mustangs being made available with a special package and limited edition certificates with delivery to commence in Europe from next year.
Though the order books will be open through out the game, something tells us that the 500 units will be snapped in a matter of minutes. Ford has been partnering UEFA Champions League ever since 1992. The finals this year is being held in Lisbon, Portugal. The game is expected to attract an audience of 70 million football fans in Europe and close to 165 million viewers from other parts of the globe. The final match will also be the last with Ford as official sponsors as Nissan is slated to take on as official partners from next season.

Ford will make 500 new Mustang fastback and convertible models available throughout Europe to pre-order when the UEFA Champions League final kicks off
The new Ford Mustang arrives in Europe next year and for the first time it will be sold in the UK, through dealers, with right-hand drive
Customers can register for the chance to reserve one of the 500 models, with 130 available for the UK, online at www.ford.com â€“ in the run-up to the final the site will offer Mustang news, features and a countdown to the kick-off
BRENTWOOD, Essex, UK, May 7, 2014 â€“ When the UEFA Champions League final between Real Madrid CF and Club AtlĂ©tico de Madrid kicks off on May 24 it will also mark a moment for which Ford Mustang fans in the UK have been waiting a very long time.
Ford has announced that the first 500 new Mustang models for Europe will be made available to reserve from the start of the game.
Ford has been an official UEFA Champions League partner since 1992. This year the final in Lisbon, Portugal, is expected to attract a Europe-wide audience of 70 million football fans and 165 million people around the world.

Both fastback and convertible Mustang models are available; the fastback in Race Red and the convertible in Magnetic Silver; and can be equipped with Fordâ€™s all-new 2.3-litre EcoBoost that has a projected output of more than 309PS and 407Nm of torque; or the 5.0 litre V8 engine â€“ with more than 426PS and 529Nm of torque.
They will also offer Fordâ€™s SYNC 2 connectivity and navigation system; heated and ventilated seats; Park Assist; black leather trim; chrome detailing; and 19in alloy wheels.
Consumers can visit www.ford.com to view information, graphics and videos about the new Mustang and the iconic carâ€™s 50-year heritage. During the match they will have the chance to register their details for an opportunity to purchase one of the 500 models that will include a special package and a limited-edition certificate.
The new Ford Mustang will be the first ever to be officially made available in the UK in right-hand drive when it goes on sale next year.
