While Friday did see the FP1 and FP2 sessions conclude successfully at the Sakhir International Circuit, the internet world is abuzz with the taking down of formula1.com and f1-racers.net. While the latter certainly is having difficulty in working their way around the Anonymous strike down, and still shows the message Anonymous left on their landing page, Tata Communications, F1 global technology partner is certainly fighting tooth and nails to ward off a complete shutdown of formula1.com.

#OpBahrain isn’t one to be taken lightly, and Anonymous, a hacker collective will certainly not sit quiet on this one. From the very start, the 2012 Bahrain Grand Prix was a touchy topic. Being a human rights situation, it’s not one that everyone will understand, especially when not living in Bahrain. The protests this week, though rampant haven’t yet hurt F1 interests barring the lone incident wherein a petrol bomb exploded close to a car occupied by Sahara Force India team members.
