Gary Paffett (THOMAS SABO Mercedes AMG C-Coupé) is 2012 DTM runner-up after 2nd place finish at Hockenheim grand finale

Mercedes-Benz DTM Hockenheim final 2012 (3)It was in front of 128,000 spectators who witnessed the DTM finale weekend at Hockenheim that Gary Paffett of THOMAS SABO Mercedes AMG C-Coupé shot to fame. Paffett has succeeded at the current 2012 season of DTM and emerged as second runner up at the recently concluded DTM grand finale held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This win ensures Paffett a third spot in championships and a position just four points behind Bruno Spengler of BMW who won last race of the year with a 2.2 second margin.

Performance of Gary Paffett has been remarkable throughout this year. He has led the championships table from the very beginning of 2012 season scoring points in 9 out of 10 races. At closing, Paffett is in a three point lead over Bruno Spengler thereby gaining him the title of champion of 2012. Paffett began his DTM career with Mercedes Benz in 2005 and won 9 races in the AMG Mercedes Class.

Thomas Sabo/Mercedes Benz Bank AMG was second while Mercedes AMG were in third position and Jamie Green finished the race in fourth position in the races. This makes Mercedes Benz the holder of 168 wins, 10 drivers, 13 teams and 9 manufacturers’ titles at DTM.
