General Motors India Chevrolet Enjoy MPV powered by Fiat 1.3 liter mutijet engine

In 2013, GM will be looking to consolidate its position in the Indian car sector and continue with the launch of 4-5 innovative vehicles in the next few years. Of these the Chevrolet Enjoy is will be the first to be launched in Indian markets against likes of Nissan Evalia, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Toyota Innova. The Chevrolet enjoy has been jointly developed by GM and SAIC and will be available at a competitve price of Rs. 6 lakh.

Design of this new MPV model is based on the Wuling CN100 model. The car will be available as a seven-seater powered by a 1.3 l diesel engine designed by Fiat. This engine is produced at the Talegaon plant is outfitted in many diesel cars in India. Initially it will be available in its non VGT form capable of producing 78 PS of power.

A petrol variant will be made available later which will be powered by a 1.4l engine capable of producing 95 PS of power. Interiors of this car though they are spacious provide one with a glimpse of a 1990’s Pontiac rental.
