General Motors is the recipient of a number of awards in a recent study conducted by J D Power and Associates. The 2013 Vehicle Dependability Study indicated that General Motors’ vehicles such as the Chevrolet Camaro in the midsized sporty section, Chevrolet Tahoe in the large crossover segment, GMC Sierra HD large pickup and Buick Lucerne large car were ranked highest.
What is even more outstanding, is that the Camaro was conferred this award in its segment in the first year of sale itself. This Vehicle Dependability Study tracks reliability of 2010 model year vehicles in a three year period of ownership. Besides these four vehicles, GMs GMC Sierra HD, Sierra LD and Chevrolet Avalanche also received the top three positions in Large Pickup segment and received recognition in the top three in their segment where JD Power 2012 Initial Quality Study was concerned.
