Recalls is still on and this time it's General Motors, which is recalling almost 1.3 million compact cars from the North American market. The recall is due to a steering problem that has led to a few road accidents along with 1 injury.
The recall will cover the Chevrolet Cobalt 2005 -2010 models. Recall is also in its Pontiac G5 model released in 2007-2010. Other cars, which are included in the recall, are the 2005-2006 models Pontiac Pursuit in Canada and Pontiac G4 that is in Mexico. The recall was ordered after an investigation, which started in 2009.
There ongoing plan is to to fix the problem and authorities said the customers will be intimated about it as soon they have a solution. Currently Toyota has been badly hit due to a recall of 8 million cars because of a braking glitch issue that hampered the safety aspect of the vehicle.
