Google search pattern for Indian cars at 2014 Delhi Auto Expo
2014 Auto Expo saw over 5.5 lakh people visiting the venue in Greater Noida. But what about the people who did not manage to visit the venue in-person? They were in millions, and they managed to experience the auto show online. Google search trend now reveals some interesting data about which were the most searched, and least searched cars during the 2014 Auto Expo.
The most searched car online, was Maruti Suzuki Celerio. It is priced from made its presence felt at the Maruti Suzuki pavilion at 2014 Auto Expo. Celerio searches on Google were followed by Tata Bolt, Hyundai Xcent, Honda Jazz and Toyota Etios Cross while Google users searched with keywords which included Celerio, Celerio Maruti, Suzuki Celerio and Celerio price. Among SUVs and sedans, it was Honda Mobilio that was at the forefront in searches on Google followed by Ford Fiesta.
Searches online brought to a fore, a change in search patterns where it was noted that fuel efficient SUVs received more attention as against sedans (which was the case in 2012). The third most searched segment, after SUVs, and sedans, was the hatchback segment, that stood in third place followed by sports cars and concept cars. Google data also revealed that searches with keywords including luxury car, premium car or electric car lagged behind on search trend charts.
Google trend also revealed that BMW i8 and Audi A3 were the most searched in the luxury premium car segment during the Auto Expo. As per Google data, the cars that trailed in search, were Volkswagen Taigun, Toyota Corolla Altis, Skoda Superb. The concepts that trailed in Google search were, Datsun Redi-GO and Nano F-Tronic, while the one’s that topped the trending chart, were Maruti Ciaz, Renault KWID and Figo concept sedan. (via)
