Gulf Supercross India heads to Nasik on 22-23 February, 2013

Gulf Supercross being introduced this year in India is being held in Nasik on 22-23 February, a step up from the myriad of dirt track events the company has held over the years. Organized by Sportscraft- Mumbai in association with by Nashik Automotive Sports Association – NASA, you can expect the very best Indian riders take to the track.

Kute’s Supercross Track at Pathardi-Gaulane road is the Gulf Oil Sponsored event venue. Thus far, 55 entries have been received from riders in Nashik, Pune, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Bhopal, Jaipur and Aurangabad. Event winners are entitled to prize-money worth Rs 1,50,000/- as well as trophies.

Gulf Oil CorporationBangalore-based TVS riders R Natraj, Pramod Joshua, Arvind K P, Harith Noah and S Madhu are surely to be watched out for. In the Indian Expert Foreign Class motorcycles upto 500cc, 2 & 4 stroke and Private Foreign bikes up to 260cc, 2 & 4 stroke Ganesh Lokhande, Vineeth Kurup, Mansingh Thakur Kaustubh Machhe, Kannan Naidu, Kshitij Shukla and Jagit Singh could pack in a real punch.

Competition categories are as follows: Indian Expert Foreign Class motorcycles upto 500cc, 2 & 4 stroke (two motos nine laps each), Private Foreign M/c up to 260cc, 2 & 4 stroke, (two motos nine laps each), Indian Expert M/c up to 260cc 2 & 4 stroke (two motos seven laps each), Private Expert M/c up to 260cc, 2 & 4 stroke, (two motos seven laps each), Local (Nashik) Class Foreign M/c up to 260cc, 2 & 4 stroke, (one moto seven laps), Novice Class M/c up to 260cc, 2 & 4 stroke, (one moto five laps).

A kids class demo round for 12 to 15 years of age, up to 85cc, 2 & 4 stroke, (one moto, two laps). Entry fee for the above mentioned events are: Standard, Rs 750/- per moto; and late Rs 1250. For Commercial/manufacturers the standard fee is Rs 1500/- per moto and late is Rs 2000/-.
