Harley Davidson 110th anniversary rally converges at India Bike Week Goa. Karen Davidson will be bracing the limelight as this two day HOG (Harley Owners Group) rally that started this week and ends as all riders get to the Goa India Bike Week.
As the 110th anniversary of Harley Davidson gets off to a start in Goa, Karen Davidson, the great granddaughter of its co-founder William A Davidson is in the country to add a personal touch to the show. Over 550 Harley Davidson bikes are in the city to celebrate the 110th anniversary with riders coming in from Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkata, Chennai and Mumbai. Karen Davidson will be bracing the limelight as this two day HOG (Harley Owners Group) rally that started this week and ends as all riders get to the Goa India Bike Week.
The events will be marked by a parade, live music, custom bike shows and an exhibition of brand merchandise. Karen was ecstatic at being able to visit Goa after hearing so much about the place. The rally will also see Freedom Jacket being worn by different riders of various countries with their own badge or pin adding to the appeal. Apart from Harley bike owners, varied biker groups have made the journey.
Karen as creative director to the brand and with her fashioning designing to boot, is to ensure that all participantsâ€™ apparel is well fitted. HOG will be raising money for various causes. Muscular Dystrophy has been a long running charity cause, while Pink Label collection offers a certain percentage to research in breast cancer. Harley Davidson bikes have been available in India for the past few years. These are priced between INR 8 lakhs and INR 35 lakhs while the company is set on opening a new Harley Davidson dealership in Goa soon.
