Harley Davidson World Ride covers over 12.5 million kms in two days

Turnout to participate in the World Ride was stupendous with a host of Harley Davidson fans coming forward to participate in this event. Riders spanned 66 countries. Top five countries were US where 5,994,276 miles were clocked. This was followed by Brazil with 418,145 miles clocked, Canada with 226,845 miles, Mexico with 170,082 miles and Spain with 157,287 miles.
These distances were recorded by Harley Davidson’s online mileage accumulator taking into account real time of distances traversed by all participants. Each of the participants was also able to download a special commemorative certificate with their individual mileages for that particular day from the website.
Nigel Villiers (Harley-Davidson Director of H.O.G. and Customer Experience International) says: “The tremendous turnout by Harley-Davidson riders for the World Ride showcases the universal appeal of the Harley-Davidson riding experience and the global power of the brand. Harley-Davidson is all about providing globally epic motorcycling experiences for a worldwide community of riders and this year’s World Ride truly set a new standard.”
India too participated. Rake Chauhan, member of Delhi based HOG – Born 2 Ride said, “All chapters across India logged mileage on this day and uploaded data on H-D website.”
