Hero Diesel RNT concept bike unveiled (Photos)

Calling the diesel RNT concept as MUV of bikes, Mr Pawan Munjal, MD and CEO Hero MotoCorp announced that this is the first of it’s kind motorcycle in the world. Powered by a world’s smallest 150cc diesel unit, that churns out 13.5 bhp power and 35 Nm torque, the aim of this bike is to be made available to the masses in the future.

Power is transmitted to the rear wheel via 6 speed mesh gearbox. It also has an electric motor that powers the front wheel with 1kW energy. Tyres – 120/70 R17 front, 150/60 R17 rear. Braking is taken care by hydraulic, multi piston calliper 300 mm in the front and single piston calliper 220mm motor in the rear. Fuel capacity is at 6 liters, and the Hero RNT diesel concept motorcycle has a top speed of 70 kmph. It can accelerate from 0-60 kmph in just 5 seconds. Dimensions stand at 2029mm x 739mm x 1077 mm (L x W x H). Ground clearance is at 168 mm, while weight at 136 kgs.

Key features of the new Hero concept diesel bike – practical design, removable secondary LED with internal Li-ion battery, front mounted LED main headlights, integrated stationary generator which provides 1500W of uninterrupted supply of 6.5A @230V, optional 2WD, wide flat loading surface (perfect for commuters in India) and spacious footboards.
