Hero unveiled HX250R in January 2014 in Delhi and revealed its technical specifications. HX250R will be positioned above Karizma ZMR as it sports four stroke, single cylinder 249 cc liquid cooled engine with DOHC producing 31 PS max. power and 26 Nm peak torque. 6 speed constant mesh gearbox will be coupled to the quarter litre engine. HX250R was designed in association with US based Erik Buell Racing, whose 49.2% stake is held by Hero. It will compete with Honda CBR 250R, KTM RC 390 and Yamaha R25.
Hastur 620 on the other hand is a super-premium street-fighter motorcycle, unveiled by Hero at 2014 Delhi Auto Expo. 620 cc twin engine in hastur 620 was also designed teaming up with Erik Buell Racing. The naked bike produces maximum power of 80 PS @ 9,600 rpm.
Hero claims Hastur 620 will feature best in class performance, mileage, handling, manoeuvrability and environment friendliness, all because of its advanced combustion engine. The bike will compete with KTM Duke 690.
