Hindustan Motors small sedan launch next fiscal: Ambassador Encore BS4 Diesel techspecs revealed
Hindustan Motors, the makers of the Ambassador, the longest running car nameplate in the world, is gearing up for a new offering in the form of a sub four meter car. The new sub- four meter car will be based on the Ambassador platform and will be a sedan variant. Apart from this, techspecs of the Ambassador Encore BS4 Diesel have been leaked online.
Once used only by politicians and taxi operators, the Ambassador has earned the title of ‘Best Taxi In The World’ by BBC Top Gear. Speaking about the Ambassador, HM has launched a new version of their iconic car. It is the same thing, but with a new BSIV compliant engine.
BS-IV Ambassador Encore which comes in at a price of INR 4.98 lakhs. Launched earlier this month, the car is equally attractive to the taxi segment. Bookings of this new model have already crossed the 450 mark with a target to see it increase to 2000 units per month.
This new BS-IV compliant car has taken Hindustan Motors back into 17 cities across the country where sales of BS-III cars have been banned ever since April 2010. The Ambassador Encore comes with a 1.5 liter BS-IV compliant diesel engine while its interiors are seen with passenger comfort features which include air conditioning and power steering.
