Displayed at Delhi Auto Expo earlier this year and slated for launch in April 2014, HMSI dealers have commenced bookings of the new Activa 125 with an advance payment of INR 5,000. Activa 125 already has a waiting period of upto 6 months and will come in with Honda Efficient Technology which is also seen on board Activa 110 and Activa-i. This new technology is what will give the new Activa 125 a fuel efficiency rating of 60 kmpl.
Honda Activa 125 will be fitted with a 125cc, single cylinder, four stroke engine offering peak power of 8.6 bhp at 6500 rpm and peak torque of 10.12 Nm at 5500 rpm. Its engine is mated to a V-Matic CVT transmission while Activa 125 will receive telescopic fork suspension at the front and hydraulic suspension at the rear.
Honda Activa 125 Deluxe trim receives 12 inch front wheels and 10 inch wheels at the rear while both versions get tubeless tyres, self start and a seat height of 765 mm. Honda Activa 125 will come in four attractive colors of black, metallic blue, pearl white and metallic silver and once successfully launched will compete with Suzuki Access 125.
