Honda car prices in India set for an increase: Brio, City and Jazz
While currently luring customers with heavy discounts, auto companies are also talking of price increases coming into effect from October 1, 2012. This may or…
Prices have been revised due to inflationary pressures and higher freight charges following increased diesel prices. Honda Cars India Limited has revealed that prices will be increased by upto 2.6%. Brio will be increased by just Rs.1,000 while Jazz prices will be up by Rs.15,000 while City prices could be increased between Rs.1,000 to Rs.6,000. Prices of Honda Civic, Accord and CRV will stay the same.
A price rise at this time of the year is something auto companies should avoid specially if they want to cash in on the upcoming festive season. Domestic monthly car sales fell in August for the first time in ten months due to a gloomy economic outlook and high interest rates which dampened demand. HCIL have also announced a new automatic version of Brio and a CNG version of City which they plan to bring in during the festive season.
