Despite tight economic situation prevailing in the auto sector as in most other sectors in the country, Honda Cars India Limited (HCIL) has registered an 87% growth in domestic car sales. Sales during the month of November 2012 increased considerably and stood at 3,711 units as compared to 1,982 units sold in November 2011. The dismal sales last year, were because of the flooding in Thailand.

However, the company is confident that with higher localization, they will be able to control costs, as the Honda Amaze gets set for launch in the country by early 2013.
