CB Dazzler was powered by a 149 cc air cooled engine, offering 14 bhp at 6500 rpm and mated to a 5 speed gearbox. It was priced from about INR 66,740 just prior to it being pulled out of showrooms. Honda CB Trigger will be taking its place and is being offered in three versions – Standard, DLX and CBS all priced between INR 72,431 and INR 82,386.
Why CB Dazzler failed to make its mark in India despite the fact that it was a super product is solely for the reason that it did not appear to be very practical. It failed to sport kick start which was one major reason for its failure. Honda’s Unicorn was also preferred over the Dazzler while CB Trigger was an instant success as it comes loaded with features not seen on board the CB Dazzler which includes a full chain case, kick lever, fully digital instrument cluster, dual disc brakes with combi disc brakes, tubeless tyres, and a Honda 149cc engine offering an average of 60 kmpl.
