2019 Honda Africa Twin India launch price Rs 13.5L – Booking open

One of the best-selling premium adventure motorcycle in the country, has now been updated for 2019 Model Year. Honda has launched new Africa Twin, and bookings are open from today. Launch price is Rs 13.5 lakhs, ex-sh, Delhi.

2019 Honda Africa Twin, like its previous counterpart, is on sale via the exclusive Honda Wing dealers. There are only 22 Honda Wing dealers in India. Bookings are open for only 50 units, on first come first serve basis.

Speaking on how the true adventurer will revolutionize off-roading in India, Mr. Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Senior Vice President – Sales and Marketing, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. The 2019 Africa Twin takes the ‘go anywhere’ spirit one step ahead with its fresh new appearance. The proud Africa Twin tribe is growing and we are ready to welcome enthusiasts to the tribe.”

With its roots in the Dakar Rally, Africa Twin is engineered with supreme off-roading capabilities. The Showa cartridge-type inverted front fork, pre-load adjuster on both wheels and the option of adjusting suspension to a softer or stiffer setting contributes to the best off-road experience. The adjustable seat height easily accommodates wide range of riders while narrow riding position enhances handling under demanding conditions.

2019 Honda Africa Twin is powered by a 999.1, parallel twin cylinder engine offering 87.7 Bhp @ 7500rpm and 93.1 Nm of torque @ 6000rpm. Transmission is via a 2nd generation dual clutch automatic gearbox.

In terms of features, the new bike gets ABS, multiple mode Honda Selectable Torque Control, 21” wheels in the front and 150/70 section 18” wheels at the rear. The Honda Africa Twin weighs a total of 232kgs and commands ground clearance of 250mm. It competes with Triumph Tiger 800, Suzuki V-Strom and Kawasaki Versys 1000.
