Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. pavilion theme at Auto Expo is Technology meets Emotion. On display will be the RC213V that Marc Marquez rode to become the world’s youngest Moto GP champion, ensuring the “Triple Crown Championship” at 2013 Moto GP.
Honda Goldwing with its airbags and reverse gear brings forth the best in luxury touring. HMSI’s global showcase will include CBR 650F (650cc middle sports model for touring and sports riding), CBR 500R (entry level sports bike which is an alternative to larger sports bikes), and PCX 125 with smart navigation, theft proof system, smart engine, idling stop and much more) in automatic scooter segment.
The Pavilion will also showcase a new scooter and behind the scenes R&D activity, apart from a new design concept model. Honda’s Brand Ambassador Akshay Kumar will be present, and ‘Chhota Bheem’ will spread teh message of road safety and awareness to children and their parents. In the outdoor activity area specially imported Honda ATV’s from US will be demonstrated by experts on the off-road track.
Honda Motors and Scooters India (HMSI) has begun January 2014 on a strong note with 50% overall sales growth (YoY). HMSI total sale is 344,750 units in Jan’14. Scooter growth is 63% and Motorcycle growth is 37% with 163,273 units, and 181,477 units sold respectively. HMSI domestic market share is 25% while Dom+Exports is 23%. Retail financing has been enhanced with L&T Finance and Assam Gramin Vikash Bank (North East).
