Honda Jazz launch price starts fom RM 72,800 in Malaysia

2014 Honda Jazz comes in with an all new design bearing marginal similarity to its predecessor. Aggressive in appearance, the new Jazz sports a Solid Wing Face also seen on Honda City and Vezel. In Malaysia, Jazz is powered by a 1.5 liter SOHC i-VTEC engine capable of 120 PS peak power at 6,600 rpm and 145 Nm torque at 4,600 rpm, mated to a CVT gearbox, borrowed from Honda City, Jazz claims fuel efficiency of 17.81 kmpl.

To be offered in three variants 1.5 S, 1.5 E and 1.5 V each in increasing order of equipment levels and prices. Base variant Jazz S is priced at RM 72,800 (Rs 13.71 lakhs), mid variant Jazz E is priced at 79,800 (Rs 15.03 lakhs) and topend Jazz V variant is priced at RM 87,800 (Rs 16.54 lakhs).

The new Honda Jazz follows the Honda City and appeals to mass market customers in the country. The top spec Jazz will be seen sporting features such as reclining rear seating, six airbags, VSA stability control, Emergency Start/Stop and Hill Stop Assist. Features on board the 2014 Jazz also includes a 7 inch touch screen with HDMI, SIRI Eye Free Mode for iPhone 4S and a host of steering wheel audio and phone controls. The look and feel is same as that of Honda City.

2014 Jazz will see increased dimensions as compared to its earlier counterpart with 55mm added length and now standing at 3,955 mm while width and height continue at 1,695mm and 1,524mm. Wheelbase is also extended by 30mm to stand at 2,530mm. Boot space is at 400 litres as against 337 litres seen on the earlier Jazz, while the new Jazz sits on 16 inch alloy wheels.

2014 Honda Jazz is also India bound and will be launched early next year. The Indian variant of Jazz will receive a 1.5l iVTEC petrol and a 1.5l iDTEC diesel engine, the same options which are seen on Mobilio and City.
